简介：2,5-Furandicarboxylicacid(FDCA),alsoknownasdehydromucicacid,isanoxidizedfuranderivative.ThisorganiccompoundwasfirstobtainedbyFittigandHeinzelmannin1876.ThefirstreviewbyHenryHillwasalreadypublishedin1901.FDCAhasalsobeendetectedinhumanurine.Ahealthyhumanproduces3–5mg/day.Numerousstudieswereundertakentoestablishthemetabolismofthiscompoundandtodeterminethequantity,whichisproduceddependingonthehealthinessofthehuman.ItwasdemonstratedthattheindividualquantityofproducedFDCAincreasedaftertheinjectionoffructose.FDCAwasalsodetectedinbloodplasma.FDCAwasmorethan125yearslateridentifiedbytheUSDepartmentofEnergyasoneof12prioritychemicalsforestablishingthe“green”chemistryindustryofthefuture.Furan-2,5-dicarboxylicacid(FDCA)hasbeensuggestedasanimportantrenewablebuildingblockbecauseitcansubstituteforterephthalicacid(PTA)intheproductionofpolyestersandothercurrentpolymerscontaininganaromaticmoiety.InMarch2016,AvantiumandBASFannouncedthattheyintendtoestablishofajointventuretoerecta50,000t/aplantfortheproductionofFDCAbasedonfructoseatBASF'sVerbund-siteinAntwerp,Belgium.
