简介：Fostemsavir(BMS-663068)isanexperimentalHIVentryinhibitorandaprodrugoftemsavir(BMS-626529).ItisunderdevelopmentbyBristol-MyersSquibbforuseinthetreatmentofHIVinfection.Byblockingthegp120receptorofthevirus,itpreventsinitialviralattachmenttothehostCD4+Tcellandentryintothehostimmunecell;itsmethodofactionisafirstforHIVdrugs.Becauseittargetsadifferentstepofthevirallifecycle,itofferspromiseforindividualswithvirusthathasbecomehighlyresistanttootherHIVdrugs.Sincegp120isahighlyconservedareaofthevirus,thedrugisunlikelytopromoteresistancetoitselfviagenerationofCD4-independentvirus.
