用途：碱性艳蓝BO可用于染羊毛、蚕丝和单宁媒染棉纤维，但色牢度均很差。染丝绸时，若用直接耐晒翠蓝GB或直接湖蓝5B染色后，再用碱性艳蓝BO套色，则所得色泽艳丽，为其他染料所不及。本品多用于纸张、竹、木制品着色以及制造蓝墨水、色淀、生物及细菌组织着色。用于圆珠笔油、复写纸、蜡光纸的制造。也可用于竹，木着色及制造色淀。还可用于棉、腈纶、丝绸的染色。
